I have loved the outdoors since I was a kid and over the last few years I have gotten my wife and young daughters heavily involved with Hiking, fishing and camping. We have traveled and camped in most of the western United States, British Columbia and Alberta and we are planning another long road trip to attend Dirttime this summer.
Over the last four years I have dove into the world of wilderness survival and primitive living. Currently I’m no where near the skill level that I need to be in order to keep my family alive in the event of a catastrophe, but I’m continuing to learn and use skills that will assist in doing so. In conjunction with the elements of wilderness survival and self sufficiency is a primary tool, a knife.
The search for the best survival knife began, many days came and went in buying, selling and trading sharp pointy things to try end the quest. Though I have amassed a decent collection of hard use fixed blades, I feel that the search will never end and that is where things in my life changed. In December of 2008 I started making knives of my design and things have grown from there. In this last year I feel that my knife making skills are coming along at a great pace and I have designed, produced and sold some quality tools. I design what I like and make what I design; this has worked out pretty good for me because it’s obvious that other people have the same tastes as me.
I have also designed some neat Survival Tin Tools that have been developed and tested. I have a final model added to my line up, they work in conjunction with fire steels and are perfect for mini survival kits and altoids tins. I feel there is a good market for this new tool and think it will become my #1 selling item.
Feel free to browse my gallery and check out my blog. I try to keep things current and updated, but I do have quite a bit of new material to add to the blog. If you are interested in having me make something for you, please email me through my contact page.
Thanks
